How to set up an always active schedule
You can create an always active (24/7) blocking schedule using either the Freedom Dashboard, iOS app, or Android app. This setup is useful for uninterrupted blocking and can be combined with Locked Mode to prevent accidental changes.
From your dashboard:
To set up an always active session from your dashboard:
Log in to your Freedom Dashboard.
Scroll to the My Sessions section.
Click Recurring Session to create a new recurring schedule.
Choose your desired blocklists, devices, and days of the week.
Set the start and end times to the same time (e.g., 2:00 AM to 2:00 AM) to make the block continuous.
(Optional) Leave a 1–2 minute gap between end and start times to allow for brief access to modify or delete the session.
Example:
A session from 2:00 AM to 2:00 AM using your "Distractions" blocklist will block all websites on that list continuously every day:
Some users prefer to leave a few minutes between the end and start times, so they have a short daily window to make changes if needed.
From the Freedom Android or iOS Apps:
iOS App
Open the Freedom iOS app.
Tap the Start Session tab.
Choose the All Day template under Recommended Sessions.
Customize the session if needed and save it as recurring.
Android App
Open the Freedom Android app.
Go to the Start Session screen.
Create a custom recurring session that spans the full 24 hours.
Set it to repeat daily and assign the desired blocklist and devices.

Locked Mode from the Freedom Dashboard
When Locked Mode is activated via your dashboard and a 24/7 session is running, the following restrictions will apply:
You cannot delete blocklists used in the session.
You cannot remove websites from those blocklists.
You cannot delete devices assigned to the session.
You cannot change your account time zone without contacting support.
For more information about Locked Mode controls, please see Locked Mode.
How to Remove an Always Active Schedule
To allow flexibility in managing your session:
Leave a short gap (e.g., 2–5 minutes) between the end and restart times of your schedule.
This small window gives you time to edit or delete the session if needed.
If you don’t include a gap, you’ll need to follow special steps to end the session.
