How do I manage my Freedom subscription or cancel my account?

How to manage or cancel your subscription depends on where you subscribed — via our website, or via in-app purchase from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Instructions for how to manage or cancel each subscription type are here: Managing your Freedom subscription.

How do I upgrade my account to Premium?

Thank you for your interest in our Premium subscription plans! Upgrading Freedom enables you to schedule block sessions in advance, set up daily recurring sessions and much more.

Below are instructions for upgrading via the website and mobile apps.

Upgrading Freedom via the Website

To upgrade Freedom through our website, visit https://freedom.to/upgrade and select the plan that fits your needs.

When you upgrade via the website, we are able to fully manage your subscription, and provide discounts and offers that are not available on mobile (due to App Store restrictions).

Upgrading via Mobile Apps

Upgrading through the mobile apps is straightforward - you'll simply choose your subscription, and Google or Apple will process your transaction. Once you subscribe through Google or Apple, all subscription management will happen via your respective Google/Apple accounts. For this reason, we are not able to manage your subscriptions once you have subscribed through the mobile apps, but we will happily help you get pointed in the right direction if you need any help.

ℹ️ When you upgrade to Premium on iOS via the App Store you'll be entered into a 7 day free trial period. You'll have full access to Premium features during that time and your payment will be applied after 7 days.

How do you store my credit card information?

For website purchases, we utilize Chargebee, an industry leading payment service, for our billing needs. We never see or store your confidential payment information. Furthermore, all transactions are secured via SSL. Chargebee is a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant provider, and you can read more about their security policies here.

Can I pay another way than credit card?

We can also accept payment via PayPal, Apple Pay, and Amazon Pay, depending on your device:

iOS browsers: All three options are available on the checkout screen above the credit card fields. Depending on your screen size, you may need to tap the Payment Methods button to see the options:

Android browsers: PayPal and Amazon Pay are available on the checkout screen above the credit card fields. Depending on your screen size, you may need to tap the Payment Methods button to see the options.

Desktop browsers: To use PayPal, select PayPal in the checkout window above the credit card fields. To use Amazon, visit https://freedom.to/upgrade and scroll down to Alternate Payment Options. Select a plan, and the checkout page will open in a new tab. Select Amazon above the credit card fields. Apple Pay is not available for desktop browsers at this time.

Will my subscription auto-renew?

With the exception of our Forever plan, subscriptions are enabled to auto-renew. If you'd prefer to not auto-renew, you can adjust that directly from your billing management page. To access that, please visit https://freedom.to/settings and click on Manage Billing. For more information, please see Managing your Freedom subscription.

How can I get an invoice for my purchase?

When you complete your purchase an invoice will be automatically emailed to you.

If you require a modification to your invoice, such as modifying the billing address, please Contact Freedom Support and follow the prompts to connect to an agent.

How can I view past invoices?

You can see past invoices by going to https://freedom.to/settings > Manage Billing > Billing History.

How do I cancel my subscription?

For help with canceling your subscription, please see Managing your Freedom subscription.

I have an unpaid invoice and want to cancel my subscription effective immediately. How can I do this?

If you have a subscription through our website, and the renewal payment fails, your subscription will enter a grace period. Our system will continue to attempt the charge during this grace period.

If your subscription is in this state and you want to cancel it, you have two options:

  1. Wait until the end of the grace period. The subscription will be canceled automatically after multiple charge attempts.

  2. Or, contact Freedom support and choose 'Connect to an Agent' when prompted to be routed to a member of our support team. We will be able to cancel the subscription effective immediately from our end.

My account status says 'Trial.' What does that mean, and will I be charged for a subscription?

If you navigate to your Settings page (https://freedom.to/settings) or to the Settings tab in the Freedom mobile app, and your account status says 'Trial,' this means that you have a free tier account that is not associated with a subscription. You will not be charged for a subscription if you have a free tier account.

If you purchased our yearly subscription plan and entered into the 7-day free trial, your account status will be 'Premium' and you will be charged at the end of the 7-day trial unless you cancel your subscription before then.
