Account Deletion Overview
You can delete your account by following a few simple steps. Please note that the process differs depending on whether you have a free or Premium subscription.
How to Delete a Free Account
If you are using the free tier of Freedom, you can delete your account immediately:
Visit your account settings: https://freedom.to/settings
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Click "Delete Account" or "Account Removal".
Confirm your choice when prompted.
Your account will be permanently deleted after confirmation.
How to Delete a Premium Account
If you are a Premium subscriber, including users currently in a 7-day free trial, your account cannot be deleted while your subscription is active.
To delete your Premium account:
Step 1: Cancel your subscription.
Follow the steps outlined in our subscription cancellation guide to cancel.Step 2: Wait for your subscription or free trial to end.
Your account remains active until the current billing cycle or trial period ends.Step 3: Delete your account.
Once your subscription has expired, return to https://freedom.to/settings and follow the deletion steps listed above for free accounts.
FAQ
Can I delete my account to end or bypass my block sessions?
If you have a free tier account, deleting your account will also stop any active block sessions, and you will be logged out of the Freedom app on your devices. Note: you might need to open the Freedom mobile app (iOS or Android) or manually sync the app from the Freedom desktop app menu (Mac or Windows) in order for this change to take effect right away.
However, if you have a Premium account, your account cannot be deleted while your subscription is active. This means Premium users cannot use account deletion as a way to bypass Locked Mode or end block sessions early.
