How to uninstall Freedom on Windows
First, quit the Freedom app by clicking on the Freedom menu and selecting Quit.
Open your computer's 'Control Panel'.
Navigate to 'Uninstall or change a program.' This might be called something like 'Programs & Features'.
Once on the uninstall page, find 'Freedom' and click 'Uninstall' at the top of the screen.
At this point Windows may prompt you to allow Freedom to make changes to the computer, click on 'yes' or 'allow' and the uninstaller will finish removing the Freedom client.

Note: If you have Locked Mode enabled in the Freedom desktop app menu and are in an active block session, you'll be prevented from quitting the app. Please see instructions on ending an active session here: Ending a block session.

Bypassing uninstall prevention
The Freedom Windows app has built-in uninstall prevention to prevent the circumvention of blocks. If you are getting the error "Freedom cannot be uninstalled while the program is running," make sure you have quit the Freedom app from the butterfly icon on your task bar. As long as the app is not running, you will be able to uninstall using the steps above.
If you are unable to quit the Freedom app because you have Locked Mode enabled, and you aren't able to end your session, please contact support.
