About Syncing
After making changes to your sessions or blocklists from your dashboard, you might find that Freedom does not immediately update device, blocklist, and active schedule information automatically on your device. On much rarer occasions, intermittent network problems may also cause blocks to not start or stop on time. In these cases, you can manually synchronize Freedom to reflect recent changes or start/end your session!

Common Causes of Syncing Issues
Network Instability: A weak or intermittent internet connection may hinder syncing.
Software Interference: Antivirus programs, VPNs, or other blocking software can interfere with the app.
Outdated App Version: Running an older version of the Freedom app may cause compatibility issues.
Uninstallation Errors: Incomplete uninstallation or incorrect reinstallation may lead to performance issues.

How to Sync Freedom on Mac
First, make sure the butterfly icon is appearing in your menu bar. If it isn't there, you may just need to launch the app from your Applications folder to sync:
Once the app is open, if your changes still aren't syncing, you can manually sync this way:
Click on the butterfly icon in the menu bar.
Select "Sync Freedom"
