Managing Your Freedom Devices

When you install the Freedom app on a device and log in using your Freedom account credentials, that device is automatically added to your account. You can manage your devices—including renaming or deleting them—from your Freedom online dashboard.

Renaming a Device

By default, Freedom assigns each new device a generic name when you log in for the first time. If you use multiple devices of the same type (e.g., two iPhones or multiple Macs), these generic names can be tricky to keep track of. To keep things organized, you can rename each device with a personalized label.

Steps to Rename a Device

  1. Log in to your Freedom dashboard.

  2. Click on the name of the device you’d like to rename.

  3. Click the edit icon (pencil symbol).

  4. Enter your desired name in the text field.

  5. Click the Save button.

Once saved, the device will display your new custom name across your Freedom account.

Deleting a Device

You may want to delete a device from your account if it’s no longer in use or if you no longer want to use Freedom on the device.

Steps to Delete a Device

  1. Log in to your Freedom dashboard.

  2. Click on the name of the device you want to delete.

  3. Click the trash can icon.

The selected device will be removed from your account.

ℹ️ Devices cannot be deleted if Locked Mode is activated and a session is currently running. To delete a device in this case, you must first wait for the active session(s) to end.
