Setting up your blocklist

To set up a session on Android, you will first need to create a blocklist that includes the apps and websites you would like to block. To do this, select the Blocklists tab, and tap the green + button at the bottom right.

You can also choose to edit an existing blocklist by selecting the blocklist name.

Next, on the Create Blocklist screen, type a name for your blocklist.

Tap Add Android apps to block to select which apps you would like to block with this blocklist.

After you have selected apps, press the back button to return to the Create Blocklist screen. Next to Custom Domains, type any domains you would like to block. To add additional domains, tap Add Block.

You can also use Freedom’s Curated Filters to customize your blocklist. These filters contain all popular apps and websites under a certain category. To see a complete list of apps and websites included in the category, tap View All.

Once you've finished adding apps, domains, and filters, tap Save at the top right to save the blocklist.

Starting a session

Once you have created your blocklist, you can start a Freedom session. Click on the New Session tab to create a session.

Then, select the devices and times you'd like the session to run and select Start Session.

Setting up a recurring session

You can also schedule Freedom to automatically run sessions on a schedule. For more information on Start Later and Recurring sessions, see Start Later and Recurring Sessions.
