Issue: Apps from the Windows Store do not work when I run a Freedom session. How do I fix this?
Note: We now have a non-proxy mode that should bypass these issues. For more information on that, please see Non-Proxy Mode for Mac and Windows.
If Microsoft Office, OneNote, or other Windows store applications are not working, please do the following:
- Click on start icon, and then click search (top right).
- Search for "Change Proxy Settings" and click the result
- Make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is enabled.
Manually add proxy exclusions
If the above method does not work you can add the following Microsoft domains to the proxy exclusion:
freedom.to; localhost; 127.0.0.1; *.azure.net; *.cloudapp.net; *.hotmail.com; *.live.com; *.live.net; *.livefilestore.com; *.microsoft.com; *.microsoftonline.com; *.microsoftonline-p.com; *.microsoftonline-p.net; *.msedge.net; *.msecnd.net; *.msftncsi.com; *.msocdn.com; *.office.com; *.office.net; *.office365.com; *.onenote.com; *.onmicrosoft.com; *.outlook.com; *.outlookgroups.ms; *.oaspapps.com; *.passport.net; *.windows.com; *.windows.net; *.windowsupdate.com; *.windowsazure.com; *.skype.com
You can find detailed instructions for adding these to your proxy exclusions in our desktop website exceptions article.
