The following are Freedom's supported browsers when using non-proxy mode or website exceptions on Mac.

  • Chrome

  • Safari

  • Brave

  • Vivaldi

  • Edge

  • Sidekick

  • Orion

  • Arc

If you are not using Non-Proxy or website exceptions mode, Freedom will work in all browsers.

Please note: When using Freedom's Non-Proxy mode or the Website Exceptions feature, Firefox and Opera will automatically be hidden (blocked) on Mac because they aren't compatible with these features. We do realize that compatibility would be useful for these browsers. Unfortunately, the current method of blocking without a proxy doesn't work for them, but it's something we will continue to research!

If you would like to prevent access to a browser that is not compatible but not automatically hidden, you can block that browser using Desktop App Blocking.
