Installing Freedom on your Android phone or tablet

First Step - Install Freedom on your Android device

To begin using Freedom on your Android device download the Freedom app from the Google Play store. Please note Freedom requires Android 4.4 or later. 

Once you download the app, open it and sign in with your account email and password. If you have not yet created an account, you can do so by registering at  https://freedom.to/hello.

Second step - Install the Freedom network profile

We need to install a network profile to be able to block the content you choose.  You'll only need to install this profile once - follow the prompts to complete the network profile installation.

Once you've installed the network profile, you will be redirected back to the app, you should now see Freedom's VPN as active.  We call this a "Virtual VPN" because it only blocks the traffic you want.  All other traffic goes over the net - so your phone is fast and secure.
